Says Seamus: “When I think of Serbia, I think of (a) ethnic cleansing, (b) Kosovo (which is technically no longer part of Serbia) and (c) Milena, this one uber-hot bartender I used to know who is almost certainly married by now because apparently getting married in your early twenties is still popular in that culture. Further, when I think of Serbian food, I think of United Nations crates stamped “Don de les Ecoliers de France” (mainly because I have this vague feeling that Serbia’s involved in a civil war or something, which is entirely incorrect, so my bad). In any event, Serbia apparently has its very own cuisine and I’d like to give it a try because it appears to be mostly meat-based – if any of you are vegetarians/vegans/Serb-haters, better luck next week, suckas.
“Please RSVP by Thursday afternoon-ish; I made a reservation, but the guy on the other end of the line didn’t really speak English very well and also started to hang up on me without taking my name until I asked if he wanted it, so I’m thinking they play it pretty fast and loose. Also, note that it’s B.Y.O.B. Drunk Club will be determined by a poll of those planning to attend.”

Why did you wrote such a BS…
a-ethnic cleansing, (b) Kosovo (which is technically no longer part of Serbia)
what kind of ethic cleansing? Where? Are you crazy?
Kosovo is the heart of Serbia!
That may be, but Serbia’s heart declared independence a while back.
“There’s something on the Internet I disagree with! I better make a comment!”
Great – now some random Serbian clown is mad at me. Thanks for the factual rebuttal, Mr. Calvert.
Oh, and for the record, the food was delicious.
